DIY Hair Repair Mask

There isn’t anything better than natural products, be it for food consumption or in this case for beauty use. I have found that most hair care products and conditioner use natural ingredients found in avocado, or mayonnaise. These components are a good source of protein that can heal damaged hair and make your hair healthier, stronger and smoother.

One hair repair mask that we like is the DIY Really Easy Hair Food.

Easy to make in just a couple of steps, you will need the following ingredients:

– Mayo
– Olive Oil
– 1 egg
– Avocado Oil

Beat the egg and add 2 tablespoon of Mayo, 2 tablespoon of olive oil and a few drops of avocado oil. (measurements may vary depending on hair length.)

imageApply it evenly to your hair, and let it sit for approximately 30 minutes.

Rinse thoroughly, wash and blow dry as usual. Your hair will feel smoother and shinier.

BEYONCE KNOWLES: THE NEW FACE OF H&M.

beyonce-hm-01_vogue_12apr13_bEarlier this year, it was reported that Beyonce would be partnering with H&M. The singer features in the Swedish retailer’s summer collection modeling a couple of bikinis and beachwear adding her personal touch of glamour and drama to the brand.

beyonce-hm-10_vogue_12apr13_b_426x284The shoot took place at the beginning of the year in the Bahamas and adverts will be launched in both prints and billboard images as well as a television commercial featuring her new song Standing On The Sun.

Look du Jour

Our favorite look this week: photo

This fashionista is wearing a simple sleeveless white top from Old Navy, tucked under a Forever21 black and white striped skirt. An orange-red jacket from Lulu and black Louboutin pumps.

Why we love this look: Outfit is decent while remaining fashionable therefore ideal for a day at the office. In addition, the choice of color of the jacket adds a touch of the current spring season to the whole look.

DIY Brown Sugar Face Scrub

I am tired of buying different face wash and scrubs and trying to find the right formula for the sensitive skin that I have. Already I’ve spent too much money on various beauty products that I find useless …

Instead, I started making DIY masks and scrubs with natural ingredients that are found in most beauty and cosmetics brands. So today I am sharing with you the popular formula for Brown Sugar Facial Scrub.

This scrub is very easy to make with 3 simple ingredients that will exfoliate your skin, unclog your pores and leave your skin soft:

image[1]photo[2]  image[3]

– 3 tbsp of brown sugar for gentle exfoliation and removal of dead skin.
– 2 tbsp of extra virgin olive oil for softening the skin.
– 1-2 tbsp of honey for soothing effect.

image[2]

Start by combining brown sugar and olive oil. Gradually add 1 tbsp of honey, and continue to add more until you reach desired consistency. Scrub should feel gooey enough but still workable.

Apply to clean and damp face while scrubbing gently for 1-2 minutes. Rinse thoroughly, and apply your daily moisturizer. Repeat this process once or twice a week.
