On our 1 year anniversary, we would like to thank our followers and all those who supported and helped us this year.
Stay tuned for more fashion, beauty and passion!
About 2 hours south of the capital, lies the city of Jacmel. Known for its yearly carnaval and miniature bananas, the city offers a typical Haitian province experience to tourists with its sandy beaches and artisan presence.
Although it was a quick weekend trip, getting away from the dynamism of Port-au-Prince and changing scenery was much needed.
Wearing ASOS top, maxi skirt from XOHO boutique, and Society Misfit cross body bag.
So school is back on, and whether you’re excited about it or completely devastated that summer is over, we can all agree that with fall approaching, it’s time to change our beauty routine.
For this fresh back to school look, I primed my face with Bare Minerals “Prime Time” in order to have a smooth canvas to work on. I then used Guerlain’s “Parure de lumière” foundation under my eyes, on the sides on my nose and for spot hiding. I’m not a big fan of using heavy foundation during the day (If it’s not broken don’t fix it right?).
I then filled in my brows with Anastasia’s “Perfect Brow Pencil”, and proceeded to create a slight cat eye with l’Oréal’s “Supreme slim” liquid liner. I used Physicians Formula blush, and Benefit’s “High Beam” for a natural glow along my cheeks, nose bridge and cupid’s bow.
To finish off the look, I wore my favorite YSL’s “Vernis a lèvre” (seriously this stays on forever and looks divine).
Let us know what you think, and if we should do video tutorials for you guys in the comment section.
“I HAVE NOTHING TO WEAR!”
Yes we’re all guilty, so don’t try to hide it. It’s very true that we buy nice clothes, but after a couple of wears, they feel old and you can’t match them with anything (neon prints??? laced bustiers? WTH?)
The key, as I have found, is to have your basics down. If you have durable, timeless pieces that go with absolutely everything, you always look put together and chic. Who cares if you wore that Proenza leather jacket to death? It looks even more amazing as it ages. “Didn’t she wear that pair of jeans last week?” Uh yeah, because it gives her a “Cul d’enfer”. Listen up people, you want to always look like you know what your doing when it comes to fashion? Well, get down with your basics and build around those key pieces.
– A white shirt that compliments your body shape.
– Statement T-Shirts
-A little black dress
– A statement skirt
– Fitted Jeans
– Ballerina flats
– A great pair of heels (you can walk in…)
Nice to have:
– A leather jacket (always gives an outfit some edge)
– A pair of boots or booties
– A statement scarf
Now that you guys have your basics down, let your imagination take your style away!
OOTD: Light green pants, a simple white V and retrosuperfuture glasses
This fashionista is wearing a simple sleeveless white top from Old Navy, tucked under a Forever21 black and white striped skirt. An orange-red jacket from Lulu and black Louboutin pumps.
Why we love this look: Outfit is decent while remaining fashionable therefore ideal for a day at the office. In addition, the choice of color of the jacket adds a touch of the current spring season to the whole look.
LOOK DU JOUR
We’re loving the look of this Fashionista: Long sleeve aquamarine green loose shirt with skinny black pants and simple Tory Burch flats. Your ideal comfortable outfit for college. However, this FIU student added her own personal style by accessorizing with bangles and a neon yellow watch. Our favorite item is the leopard scarf around her neck that contrasts with the vivid color of her shirt.
