So school is back on, and whether you’re excited about it or completely devastated that summer is over, we can all agree that with fall approaching, it’s time to change our beauty routine.
For this fresh back to school look, I primed my face with Bare Minerals “Prime Time” in order to have a smooth canvas to work on. I then used Guerlain’s “Parure de lumière” foundation under my eyes, on the sides on my nose and for spot hiding. I’m not a big fan of using heavy foundation during the day (If it’s not broken don’t fix it right?).
I then filled in my brows with Anastasia’s “Perfect Brow Pencil”, and proceeded to create a slight cat eye with l’Oréal’s “Supreme slim” liquid liner. I used Physicians Formula blush, and Benefit’s “High Beam” for a natural glow along my cheeks, nose bridge and cupid’s bow.
To finish off the look, I wore my favorite YSL’s “Vernis a lèvre” (seriously this stays on forever and looks divine).

About a year ago, my cousin Kristia and I were shopping in Indianapolis during Black Friday when at a Chanel counter in Nordstrom something caught our attention : Matte top coat.
At first it was really odd to see our nails in matte but the truth is, this pass year i’ve been obsessed with matte nails and when Kristia sent me a picture of french manicure in matte black, not only did I have to try it, but had to blog about it.
The process? Very easy. Manicure your nails as you usually do, and put two coats of your choice of nail polish (I used OPI Lincoln Park After Darker). Let it dry. Stick French Manicure tape on the tip of your nails, then apply your matte top coat. Once dry peel off the strips.
An Alternative way: If you don’t have French Manicure tape, apply matte top coat all over your nails and then add regular top coat on the tip of your nails to make it shiny and Voilà !
Our favorite day of the week is finally here !! My outfit today you dare ask? It’s very simple and casual.
Dark skinny low-rise jeans, loose white embroidered top with wide laced straps: both from ZARA. Over it, a lightweight curved lapel taupe blazer from Lush. And since it’s Friday, before work, I stopped at the salon to do my nails. I’m wearing snakeskin sandals with gold stripes in the back from Steve Madden. Chanel sunglasses in brown, and a black tote bag.
Nail color: Glamour Purse by Essie.
Bracelets from Haitian designers: Martin Schettini, Good_Karma Bijoux, and twenty-2 Jewelry.
